Hi Toni, I received a link in my e mail and thought I would take a look. I read a lot of posts and so many have such valid points. I too am disgusted with the Educational system, legal system ( or lack thereof ). My son who is 15 now is dyslexic. It was something I knew he had since he was first walking and learning his colors, numbers and such. I suspected when he started to memorize what I said instead of reading and learning, but the school system would not do any testing on him. The poor kid went through a tought ime at school, was labeled lazy by his teachers, no, they were lazy for not testing him. One teacher told me that he would never learn anything if I did not put him on ritalin, right in front of my son. That was it, I had enough. I pulled them from school, he and his brother and wrote a letter to the school board as to why. I told them they get Federal funding for children like my son and yet they refused to test him, so they were not going to be getting their funding for the next year for my kids because I was pulling them. I taught my son to read, myself. Reading is now his best subject. He still has trouble with getting things from brain to paper, but he can read and comprehend and adjust verbally. I have done so much research into DSS ( CPS ) and come to the conclusion that children are stuck on these drugs because it makes them have way more problems so that these contracted psychs for DSS can be fed these families, children. The children become medically fragile all the while DSS collects Title IV-E on each of these children. It's no wonder that these DSS cronies want these children, they pad their pocket books. These children have no outlet, no way of understanding what is happening to them, they are lost in a legal system that is not there for help, but to harm. They are shuffled around and the ones who are at home, their parents struggle to care for them in a society that has so much to offer but does little with it to help these people. I honestly feel that those who end up in prison is a product of society and their flawed systems. We have failed these people in a horrid way and then stick them in prison to shut them up, strip them of their rights as human beings. I am so ashamed of humanity these days and what we have become. We need to promote more programs for parents to become more self sufficient and promote programs for those who are in prison for non violent crimes to get them back home. Too many people are in prisons that are innocent but convicted of serious violent crimes while these prosecutors KNOW they are innocent but just want that extra notch in their belts. They hide, ignore evidence to prove innocence. We really need to take back our Government that is supposed to be for the people. I have yet to see how they are for the people. Two sexual perps are allowed to walk free, and the children are in the home of one of them, while their father who has no history of any crime or abuse is pushed out of the scene. These children are his life and his son, at the rate it is going, is going to end up being another prison statistic or dead from suicide.
