But education cannot stop at the school. I hear so many parents complain that their child is not learning or they don't know why they are failing in school. I can't help but think WHY don't you know? Education cannot stop at the school! How many parents sit and read to or with their children. How many pareents check(I mean really check) to make sure their children are doing their homework and they have an understanding of what is going on in the classrooms. How many parents look for outside resources to help their children if they can't. How many parents talk to their kids about making the right decisions. How many parents can say they set a good example for their kids? Put a value on education and where it can take you. I know my parents never did. I was lucky and intelligent enough to try to make a life for myself. I get so tired of people blaming the government, schools and media for the problems kids have. It is not their jobs to raise your kids! The fundemental values have to come from home. If they are not there, then a child's probabilty for success is greatly lowered. Think about that.&lt;BR/&gt;please see more at Thought-for-the-thinking</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/22100055/114537596365920699/comments/default/115377713185753158'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/22100055/114537596365920699/comments/default/115377713185753158'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://toni2006.blogspot.com/2006/04/for-last-month-i-havent-felt-desire-to.html?showComment=1153777080000#c115377713185753158' title=''/><author><name>unearthUS</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/01648563246450043987</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://toni2006.blogspot.com/2006/04/for-last-month-i-havent-felt-desire-to.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22100055.post-114537596365920699' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/22100055/posts/default/114537596365920699' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
